I recently got my first pede, a s. subspinipes. I did a lot of research online about it before i got it. Ive had T's and scorpions for years and wanted a new challenge. after setting up the tank and feeding it i apparently used a little too much bedding and it has now burrowed. My question is do they stay burrowed for lengths of time, will it no longer be out and about in the tank and is there anything about this i should worry about or should/could do anything about. Any tips in general though would be appreciated for a new pede keeper

Welcome to the forums! :)
I to am a newbie here. My pedes always bury them selves as well. They love to do that. I am sure it varies from each pede to the next one staying burried. Mine come out all the time day or night. The only one I got that stays hidden 95% of the time is my hatian giant. For some reason it was out today though.

Burrowing when given the chance is normal behavior IME. Some will stay hidden for days, weeks, or months, others will usally come out at night. That is when I see my pedes. You could give it less substrate and some flat hides for it to hide under, but from what you have said, it seems to be pretty content with burrowing.
