Just a quick question does anyone have or has anyone ever had a T (espically a G. rosea) act as if it was defending it's burrow? I was using a paint brush to clear some cricket nuggets out of the way of her entrance and she came out with all attitude!!! Legs all raised and smacking the paint brush with her legs and wouldn't back down from the brush! I never really say any fangs exposed or anything so I think it was all a bluff. So after giving her a few minutes I removed her hide from over top of her and touched her with the brush and she hauled butt trying to get away!

I have an Aphonpelma sp (Carlsbad Green) female who's the sweetest thing ever...UNTIL you mess with her when she's in her burrow. She then turns into a very nasty little T!
I don't think this behaviour is very unusual, seems to me that it's the one place they need to feel safe in, so therefore they are quite defensive of it...
