I went in to change all of the water bowls in my little zoo
and found our little A. Seemanii burried in his tunnel.
Not blocked in by web and dirt, BURRIED!
I quickly got a spoon and dug him out.
I have no idea how long he was like that, could be minutes
maybe longer. All were fine this morning at 9am.
Well, he is alive, but sitting in the corner scrunched up.

Is there anything I can do for him or should I just leave him be?
There isn't any physical damage to the little guy.

Awe! The poor thing. Maybe you should put it in a warm, dark place for awhile just so that it can calm down without anything bothering it.

Aaaw. Poor lil sweety musta thought the sky was falling.
I'd say just give it time to calm down.
It's prolly just all tensed up waiting to see if anything else is gonna fall on her.
Peace and quiet for a bit should do the trick.

i had a similar experience just last night with my adult female H. lividum. i was misting and suddenly the layer of substrate over her burrow collapsed. she emerged from the rubble and gave me a fierce little threat posture, and she's ok. pissed but ok. i had no idea her tunnels were so extensive, the cave in happened on the opposite side of the cage from the burrow entrance, nearly a foot from where i believed it ended:eek: .

How does LUCKY sound?

Just think what could have happened if I wasn't home!

Now he is walking around on the walls of his box.

I'm almost willing to bet a burrowing T could dig its way out of a cave in. Unless a rock or a water dish trapped it.:?

Me too. This had happenned to a couple of my tarantulas before and I always observed them to be able to dig their way out.
