why would my recently molted chaco sling burry itself and close off the exit? i would understand if it did so b/c it was molting or about to, but she just did, freshly molted 3 days ago. it hasnt eaten since. could it be hiding from the dialy distractions that go on in my room? or is it just hiding so it can harden its skin? if so, isnt 3 days long enough for a sling? eh, just my constant worrying about the little guy :?

Your sling is just being slingy. Three days is often enough, but then often the T's don't care to be average. It will come out when it's ready.

He was probably thinking "I'm not quite hardened up yet, and I just KNOW that huge dude is thinking of tossing a cricket in here!"

The difficulty of getting inside the tarantula brain is why there aren't any T psychologists.

It's a Grammastola, just like the rosea. They're entitled to be a little weird if they want to. Sometimes, they just don't feel like eating. It may be fasting for a few days. All you can do is wait for it to emerge on its own. Then it will probably be hungry again. :)
