So I hadn't gotten a chance to hang out with my roaches lately, so last night I was just watching them eat and drink and crawl around as usual. But last night one female was kind of hanging out by herself on an egg crate so I stuck my finger next to her. She started feeling and stroking my finger with her little antennae and it was just the cutest thing for some reason. Made me wonder whether she perceived me as a threat, or what sort of things she could detect, or what little roachy thoughts she was having (if any)...after a couple of minutes of scoping me out, she calmly turned and walked away. My husband often wonders whether they're my feeders or my pets lol...{D
Oh and on a sad note, one of my males passed away yesterday. It was a pretty sad moment, he was one of my bigger ones. Hopefully he lived long enough to make some offspring. RIP, little dude...

Aw, cute roach anecdote. I love their antennae, the way they move them around in all directions

Sorry 'bout your male, I'm sure his genes live on!
