I’m copying this from a FB vendor post and passing it along with their permission. The name below may be fake so I’ll update this is a real name emerges.
This is a very disappointing post to have to make.
We recently had a scammer place an order and pay through Square with a credit card, then they disputed the order with their card company immediately after they received their order.
We have never been able to make contact with this person via email or phone since they received the order, and we suspect that they used a fake name to place their order.
Even though we were able to provide their credit card company with all of the customers information, and proof of signature delivery from FedEx, the bank still sided with the scammer and we lost the entire amount for the spider including shipping.
The order was for a mature female OBT from our breeding stock. This was a proven female that had produced 2 sacs for us in the past.
We will be posting the scammers information to try and prevent anyone else from being stolen from in the future.
If you are a vendor, please run a search for this address and these phone numbers in your records and maybe we can find out who they really are.
Chances are, they have ordered from other tarantula vendors in the past using their real name.
