Pretty neat stuff, hope they stay there, I dont really care for widows. :embarrassed:

awesome! that's just all the closer they are to KS, so it makes my drive shorter than Florida to go collect some for myself!!!

latro = a hunter
dectus = (from Greek dnktcs ??) biter
geo = earth
metricus = measure

Latrodectus geometricus = nasty little spider that spans the globe. :D

I know they've been found in Georgia for a while, wouldn't mind having them here either.

On my trips to Florida, I have found them as far north as kentucky at rest stops along I-75. Hmmm I wonder how cold hardy they are:?

Not cold hardy enough for Michigan, thats for sure. :)
They do adapt well to a wide humidity range.
