breeding (NOT!) E campestratus!

well, I just attempted a breeding with a fresh mature male, and my WC female. There couldn't have been LESS interest shown by either party! He just hung out (literally) on the side of her container, and she completely ignored him. With neither one willing to make the first move, it doesn't look too promising!
I'm going to shark cage them tonight, so maybe their closer proximity will spark some sort of interest.
He looks like he has no clue what to do!

Good luck! I've found shark-caging can be effective in these situations. Twenty-fours hours or so spent in close proximity (along with limited access) can do wonders to increase the "chemistry" between male and female. I hope it will prove so in your case.

But be warned: although I haven't been able to get an exact count on my campestratus eggsac as they are STILL first instars, I would estimate there are approximately one million of them.

Do you REALLY want to go down that road with me again? =D
