Oh. My. God. He IS!! It was sold as a guaranteed female... I didn't even look at the exuvia. I just went in and checked on him and he's stretched out, replete with huge palpal emboli. I am so crushed, here's his story:

This T is precious to me. I came to Texas to care from my brother who had ALS. Before he died, he insisted on going to a herp show with me. He wasn't into spiders AT ALL, but watched me to see what I got excited about. I was wandering around and noticed his wheelchair missing... when I found him, he handed me this gorgeous girl with a note he had written; "Thanks for babysitting".

Agreed on both counts!! I e-mailed the seller last night, waiting to hear from him. I really need to study up on ventral sexing, but I just can't seem to get it right. 19 years keeping these things and I still need an exuvia to get it right!! Must be one of those weird mental blocks, like the fact I can type 70 wpm, but can't take shorthand, even though I studied it for a year!!!:8o

Don't you just love when Ts are sold as "guaranteed" something-or-other? Really throws you for a loop when you find out they aren't what they seemed! He's gorgeous though, and I agree that you MUST find a girlie for him! Great pictures, great T, great story surrounding the T.

Thanks! Yes, he was an amazing person. You really find that out when someone passes away and old friends come out of the woodwork and tell you stories about them. He wasn't just good to his little sister, he was an outstanding person period.
