.

I have been informed that a colony of this species requires new bloodlines every three months or so. Any truth in this? :?

I had mine for almost two years. Without new bloodline. And they were doing it to well! By the way the correct name is Shelfordella lateralis ;)

Since when? Last I heard it was renamed from Blatta lateralis back to Shellfordella tartara :?

And yeah, my colony is also 2 years old, with no new blood and the oothecas only seem to get larger, and the mature specimins fatter.

Thanks!
I hope it has never to change name again. I'm kinda starting to get fed up with it now ;)
