Black spider with white spot

Hi all. My daughter found this spider today...we are in the UK...and we wondered what it was. I know very little about spider spiders, but wondered if it a was a tube spider? Maybe a defect on the colouring?

Apologies for poor images but she was trying to hold and snap at the same time!
