Big Socal (Riverside) Millipedes

Anyone know what the large dark millipedes around riverside are? Or have a list of what species are here so I can find out for myself? :? Thanks! ~r

As far as I know, most of the large millis in SoCal are going to be Tylobolus sp..

That would be north not south. South you'd be more likely to run into Hiltonius.

Interesting... I was under the impression Tylobolus were found from northern/central CA to the southern extent of LA county(or a bit more), where as Hiltonius are found mostly in San Diego county and are more stocky in appearance...

(The last might actually be a Hiltonius based on a comment by R. Shelley on another image that is very similar, but he did not share any diagnostic characters).
