There is no such thing as "Scolopendra Subspinipes Alternans".
Scolopendra Subspinipes and Scolopendra Alternans are two totally different species.

I would guess that most of the Dehaani variants are the largest Scolopendra Subspinipes sp., though there may be some Scolopendra Subspinipes Subspinipes that get as large.

Do a search and you'll find tons of threads about the biggies.
My personal favourites:
Scolopendra Hardwickei and the big South American pedes, S. Gigantea, viridicornis, galapagoensis.
Also, Scolopendra Heros.

If it's size you want, go with the S. subspinipes.

The Dehaani.
They are much thicker looking than an Alternans of the same size.

I had an S. alternans from Peurto Rico that was bigger than nearly any S. suspinipes I've seen and I've seen quite a few. Location and even individual can vary greatly. There aren't any shops you can check out a few pedes in person?
