All I ever want is to take pics of my Ts but they always hide when I try. Is there a method to get nice photos like everyone else? I'm just curious too see what other people do to keep them still lol

(Thanks to who ever moved this, I hadn't seen this forum <3)

Best is to pull them out of their enclosures. I use to wait until a enclosure upgrade, after a molt, after pulling an eggsac etc.

Many ways to contain them. I use a moat. Get a large, short tub(one that is made to slide under your be) fill it with water and have a rock in the middle. Most will stay on the rock, some don't care and will fly out no matter what. You need to be comfortable in cupping and catching fast spiders for this though.

Some will bring them outside to shoot. Easier to grab them when they run and less likely to lose to them in a weird crevice that houses can have. -Chad

If they're not the sort of tarantula that stays out food will often allow you to grab a pic or 3. No stress for your tarantula. Or, and not as good in terms of quality but look smart is to get a small LED torch and your mobile phone (flash off) and grab pics at night through their enclosures.

Just got this of my Cyriopagopus sp Bach Ma. A bit of editing and it's fine.

And of course you can change the angle to hide or at least not make it as obvious they're eating.
