In my not so humble, and narcissistic opinion ;)
it would be 'The Tarantula Keeper's Guide' by Schultz and Schultz, buy it at Amazon.com
Best T book out there to date, barring a couple of outdated things.
But don't hesitate to look in the 'online book reviews' on this site too!

Another great book is: Tarantulas and other Arachnids by marshall
I think I like this one better than the "tarantulas keeper's guide. Not as biologicaly complex, and just as complete on care.

Read the "Book Reviews Forum" :) Either way, you can't go wrong with either Schultz's book or Marshall's book.

Arachnomania by Philippe de Vosjoli (correct spelling?) is also good, but not as extensive as the book mentioned above.

Yep, not much to add here: Shultz & Shultz's The Tarantula Keeper's Guide and Marshal's Tarantulas and Other Arachnids are the only two books out there worth getting for general T care imo. There are some books that are worth getting for more specialised issues (breeding, etc.) but if those two don't cover any general questions you might have, you probably won't find it answered accurately in any of the others.

The TKG is probably the best in breadth of coverage, but Marshal's TOA is probably the best overall because it cuts to the chase and dispenses with the TKG's rambling. I'd get both if I were you.

From Amazon, the TKG is 30% off ($10.50) and the TOA is list at $8. If you get the TOA keep in mind that for some reason both the older edition and the newer edition are in print. Barrons printed them under two different book lines and never took the older edition out of print. The newest one has a versicolor on the cover, the older edition has a bicoloratum - get the newer, obviously.
