I second the Grammostola pulchrips and Euathlus sp. red. I don't care too much for growth rate but I love big appetites. My favorite starter T's:

The Lasiodora species are also worth looking into. You can't really make a bad choice with a sling between 1"-2" in size. The one I have is my showcase spider, all the way from 1.5" to now 5" in size today. I got her back in I think August or July 2017. I scooted her 9nto the glass to get the pic. Normally she chills out on the frog moss.
