Beetle ID?

Found this poor guy stuck on its back while out walking my dog. It's not quite an inch long and very heavy-bodied. The pictures kinda suck but I can't really get them any clearer

I'm in eastern Iowa

Sehirus Cinctus maybe? What size is it around so I can say for sure?

Scarab for sure, Diplotaxis is possible.
