about how hot does the water have to be when i add it?

boiling? or just hot water from sink?

Hot or cold water. Hot water soaks faster. Bed a beast environments can be more prone to grow mold/fungus. I switched over to Peat Moss/Vermic.

I seem to have had better luck with forest bed than bed a beast for growing less mold/fungus, mushrooms, etc.

Me too. But I'm still not going to take a chance with it anymore. I have gone the peat/vermiculite route.

Ratio???

What is the ratio of vermiculite you are using to peat moss?
