i was wondering if anyone could tell me whats the biggest wild spider in BC canada........preferably in vancouver

You might have dolomedes tenebrosus up there, which are nicely big. :D

i believe if u have time to post this thread, u might also have time to type in the "unfamilir name" on the serach engine, instead of asking a retorical question

Cheshire, that Dolomedes is a wolfie. Here is a nice female D. tenebrosus, she's not so big at the moment though. Her abdomen is a bit bigger when she's well fed, but she can't eat when she has an egg sac. And that T. gigantea looks a bit large. By a bit. I've seen figures of about a 10 cm legspan max for gigantea, and the tenebrosus I regularly catch tend to be a bit bigger than that. Then again, we have yet to confirm whether or not dolomedes are found in BC.
