Pretty gutted. Took some pics of my Caribena Versicolor and realised she didn't get rid of all the mites she came with when she shed.

How do you maintain the humidity in her enclosure?
Do you have any issues with mold, mites etc?
Her substrate is soaking. I spray now and again too. Never had any mold or mites. Her enclosure is full of springtails.

I guess you would need springtails from what I have read they like the high humidity.

Please excuse the crude screen grab but it does show why Idiothele mira have the common name of the blue foot baboon.

I love the way thy hunt like trapdoors, really interesting species. Gonna keep an eye out for these.
I'm just repeating myself bit that exactly why I bought this girl. I didn't know there was a trapdoor T until a few months ago.

Might have been @ColdBlood who posted theirs and immediately fell in love.

Yeah, likewise, didn't know of these until I saw your video.
Had heard of them but knew nothing of their behaviour.

Had an explosion of flies so lobbed a load in for my little T.blondi lass. Didn't bother recording her as I didn't think she'd come out.

Well I was wrong. She somehow managed to nail 8. And will her fangs full to bursting she disappeared down her hole.
