My P. antinous has a rather large bald spot on its abdomen that was pretty dark in color, as if a molt was approaching, and recently it looks as if it's assumed an almost peach-like color again; like the urticating hairs were just rubbed off. Has anyone seen this before? I wear glasses, but I know my vision isn't that poor.

Has it eaten? I've noticed that abdomen color (lightness or darkness) can be somewhat influenced by how big or small the abdomen is.

I am a little confused about the urticating hairs comment though, if it had a bald spot to begin with then the urticating hairs would have been rubbed off.

Yeah, the bald spot is from where the urticating hairs were rubbed off. As for the abdomen's size, it wasn't huge but it certainly wasn't small, either. And yes, she's eaten whenever I've offered food. Premolt is probably out the window, but I'm still wondering how the bald spot could be like grey velvet color and then become pink again.
