Beautiful snake. I think bairdis are criminally underrated.

Very nice-looking animal. I'm told these usually have a very sweet temperament as well. Is this true?

I agree, Bairdi are completely underrated. I love my guys. This is my pride and joy, Elizabeth. She's what I'm striving for in a Baird's, lots of "metal", less black longitudinal striping, light coloration, orange background (the darker the better, towards red/purple, even).

They're so strong, much stronger than my corns, and mine are much more outgoing, hanging out and watching what's going on around them from their viv.



The male (top coil) has a little less "metal" and is a bit more yellowy than the female.

These are also some of my favorite snakes in our collection. The babies go through quite the colour/pattern change too. They kinda resemble gray banded kingsnakes as babies and slowly change in to what you see above. Awesome snake!
