A lovely specimen! Why is it that all the most beautiful scorpions are in the most dangerous family?

Nice, is looks more Tityus than Babycurus. I wish there were more of the uncommon Babycurus out there to view and breed.

Very nice pictures, but if "he" doesn't grow bulbous pedipalps real quick, or after the next molt, he is definetly a she..............

Vincent,

I think so too (they still look small even though they where as big as a regular (regular as in not being giant or dwarf) adult B.jacksoni the last time I saw them at your place) and I do hope So (in
B.jacksoni you can see sexual dimorphism from instar 5 sometimes, hope this isn't representative for B.gigas)!! I will be getting a female and if we cannot get males, we cannot breed this species........ :? Anyway, will have to wait and see!

Hello Vincent,
congrats to thoose amazing pics.
i got a question: how do you keep them?
i´m in the lucks situation, to have three left from seven. the first molts up to 4th instar went without problems. that was into the middle of november! But since this tiime, they stopped growing all three!
you could also pm me or perhaps send a mail to mueller-kj@web.de

thx
karsten

Hi Karsten,

The more they mature, the longer it takes to the next molt. This is perfectly normal. But how do you guys (Vincent and Karsten) keep them...:)
Karsten, I hope you got two males, so you can pass one to me!!! :D :D
