Hi! I’ve got a baby female regal jumping spider (Sprout). I got her last Saturday and she hasn’t taken to eating anything or drinking from what I can tell. I’ve bought tiny pinhead crickets and she isn’t interested at all in them dead or alive. Im not sure when she last molted but the when I got her I belive I saw a molt in her little cup. She’s very active and has built two nests but has just been refusing the crickets.
Any tips at all is appreciated!!

Spiders go months without eating, so she might not be interested. How big are the crickets? If they are too big, she might be scared of them.

Some spiders go months without eating. Baby Jumping spiders need food decently often. Just wanted to clarify.

Start with one. Just set it near her. If she's hungry, she'll take it.
UPDATE!! She didn’t take the fruit fly I offered her sadly. She actually just like ran away from it. I also don’t know if she’s been drinking water. Hopefully she’s just going to molt soon.

I'm guessing she's getting ready to molt or may just need some time to adjust to her new home. You can look at the size of her abdomen to determine if she is hungry. I would give her some space but keep offering her food once a day. If she doesn't take it after an hour or so, remove it and try again the next day.

I put in another fruit fly today, I had kept a few in the fridge overnight to die and I put it gently in her web, just walked in and she is munching away!! Thank you for your help, I’m so unbelievably relieved right now :’) 55A571B7-0087-441C-9E44-370ED9C3B795.jpeg

So glad she's eating! Her abdomen is nice and full so she won't need to eat again for a few days. You'll be able to tell when her abdomen gets smaller.

Also, looks like you have the same Zilla Micro enclosure that I have. Be careful of the holes at the base of the door when it is closed. Your spider might be small enough to squeeze through them. I use putty to cover mine. Post it notes work too.

She is adorable! Does she have a name? Regals are so cute! I have a female bold jumper. Her name is Ichabod.
First: Ichabod is such a big girl and so cute,I love the slight blue coloring.

second: my girls name is Sprout, she’s to tiny and I can’t wait till she’s big!

Sprout is a great name! Ichabod got so much bigger after her last molt. Her chelicerae changed from green to blue. It's amazing to watch them grow and change. Did you find Sprout locally or purchase her online? I love Regals but we don't have them here up north.

I got her from Beasleys Exotics at a reptile expo. They’re local to Florida and specialize in arachnids. I really don’t know much about jumpers besides food, care and stuff, so mind if ask, what’s a chelicerae?? 😂😅

It's the colored mouth pieces that attach to their fangs. You can see Ichabod's really well in this pic. I'm also attaching a pic I found online that shows some of the different colors jumper's chelicerae can be. Bolds are green or blue. I think Regals can be green or blue too but they can also be a really pretty pink or violet color. It will be neat to see what Sprout's look like as she gets older. I've never been to a reptile expo but it sounds fun. I'll have to look and see if we have anything like that in Washington. I would love to adopt a Regal someday.

Chelicerae can be so many colors! It’s very cool! Pretty sure those shown are the most common colors for genus Phidippus! For others, They can also be brown, black, translucent, red, orange, they can have stripes and spots, be long, curled, short, angular, round and more!
