I really don't want to order pinheads for my dune scorpion, i've been trying to feed him small crickets, but he just kills them, could it be because he thinks it's a predator not prey? any suggestions would be helpful. Also i can get some wingless fruit flys, but they are eating a natural substance with some natural mold inhibitor would that be a problem?

Thanks
David

If he is too small to take bigger crickets, you can always rip the heads off and leave the carcass where he will discover it. Most scorpions, especialy the young'uns, will scavenge.

Cheers,

I use flightless fruit flies with my smallest of slings and have had no problems. What are your temps/humidity for you scorpion? Scorpions don't eat as well at lower temps so that may be one thing to keep in mind.
