B.Smithi spiderling hideout

okay so the story goes here.
a few days ago I created my sling a hideout for him to hide.
there were substrate in the inside and dry
but the substrate in the outside of it is wet.
i woke up this morning and all of the dry substrate is in the outside.
i want to know if i should take the substrate out and dont put some more
in his hiding place
maybe mellow doesnt like dry?

im using coco peat.
