After that pic, I walked away for like 5 minutes, came back and it was full out. So I didnt get any other pics of it in the process.

kewl :)

Awesome. How big is that one? From the look of it I'd think it were big enough to take a little longer than 5 minutes between those two pics. When mine went through its final molt last year (male) it took between an half hour to 45 minutes from flipping over to full molt. Kinda worried me actually that it took as long as it did. How long should a molt take for a 4" to 5" specimen on average anyhow? Some of my T's have molted considerably faster than others at relatively the same size range.

I purchased two B. boehmei last December. They were 1/2" and had a little color but nothing spectacular. They are now over 2" and are looking similar to the adults but without the intensity of the red. If I remember correctly, they started to obviously change color at about the 1 inch mark. They have an excellent appetite and have grown much faster than I expected, especially considering that I don't keep them particularly warm and I only feed them once per week. They're even growing faster than my avic slings.

neveragain,
beautiful pictures!
Wait few days more (about five days total) after the molt, even if she will start looking for the food.
If you are able to check the fangs ... if they are still pale, wait.

My B. boehmei has molted few weeks ago and finally her a$$ is not bald anymore! :)

Dafne ... something has hit my eyes!!!

Alright, thanks.

I just noticed that the pedipalps look like they got messed up in the molt. Is this gonna cause any problems?
Not as long as you find him a grilfriend.

Or is it just me that looks at those palps ad says. Uh BOY.

They didnt look like that prior to this molt though. They had another "extention" on the ends of them.

Sorry for sounding so dumb, I dont know much about tarantulas.
