All the literature I've read says 25 to 30 years. I can't say that I've kept one that long, so I don't have any first hand knowledge in that area.

I have acquired two immature males since this post was started to breed with my female though. Still probably a year or more away from any possible slings of my own.

Hey Botar,
I have a male that should mature next year sometime.I hope.
After me and John are done with him I'll send him to you.
If all goes well.

They are very similar to B. smithi in most every way... including prices.
