Im not sure about the A. ulrichea, A. urticans and A. auratiaca but from what i know the Aurantiaca is the same as juruensis and Magdalena. And I agree A. Avics are a very nice T and I just sent my Male A. Avic off with SkinheadDave for breeding purposes so if all goes well I will have a few slings in the future

I think I really have to disagree with you on that one. When you check Rick West's site, you can see the pic of A. aurantiaca and A. juruensis. As you can see, the A. aurantiaca lacks the yellow stipes on the knees, and the small yellow band....

I read that juruensis got a name change on a website that has latin and common names listed, and it said that it is now Aurantiaca as well as the magdalena. And the common name of the Aurantiaca on some sites say it is a Yellow Banded Pinktoe and on others Peruvian Giant Pink toe. So im not sure im just going on what I have read. I was told that Magdalena is the same as the Aurantiaca though, so im pretty sure they are the same.

Unfortunately, they've been in the hobby decades instead of years, breed readily, and can be had for $5 a pop as spiderlings. For some reason, that makes them not as cool as a nearly identical A. geroldi for 6X-8X the cost

I still think if you get an A. avicularia, A. minatrix, A. purpurea, and A. versicolor you have just covered the major variety of Avics in the pet trade. Get either an A. urticans or A. hurianna on top of those and you did just cover the entire variety.
Correct me if I am wrong but is there such thing as an A.metallica?

No not a P.Metallica  but I keep thinking I read about an A.metallica...

Yes, A. metallica is a valid species and there is an Avic in the pet trade that goes by that name (there is some issue if A. metallica (pet trade) is really what was described as A. metallica in 1875, but I don't have any idea what the truth is on that one).

A. metallica is a bit fuzzier with lighter guard hairs than A. avicularia. It has toes that are more white than pink but is otherwise colored much like A. avicularia.

Yeah look at the pic I posted, The pic looks similar to a versicolor, but infact it's just an immature femme Avic. avic.

I really didn't notice that until right now..

But the fact is that they don't look alike at all.

any ways have a nice day
