Hi guys,

I've got three slings coming tomorrow; a GBB, Avic Purperea and C. versicolor. I think i'm ok with the GBB since it's enclosure requirements are more simple, however I would like someone to check my avic/caribena enclosure. All three slings are 1-2cm DLS.

I was going to put them all in deli cups but I am not 100% sure on what size to use, so as part of my order I will be getting 12oz, 16oz and 32oz cups. I've made an example enclosure (shown in the pictures) using another deli cup style container which I will not be using because it's lid is not very secure.

I realise that I would likely need more cross ventilation than this example; and am I right in thinking you don't want holes in the lid for avic species?

I'd say it looks fine. I'm indifferent when it comes to top ventilation. Don't think it really makes a huge difference whether or not you add holes to the lid. Can't really imagine anything negative about it, other than probably watering a little more frequently.

Ironically I literally just made a post about this.

Avic. Problem

I used 16oz for my .5" slings. Usually they will make a webtube home and you can put food nearby or in it to keep from having to worry about them not being able to find it in a large container. Once mine hit about 1" they would go looking for food themselves.

I've read that holes in the top mess with the cross ventilation but that was 3 years ago so maybe it's been disproven now, I dunno. I just put a ring of holes around the very top, no holes in the lid.

Who knows;) It probably does. I go both ways, and it seems to not affect survival. So I've never given it a ton of thought.

Looks fine. I usually have some small holes in the lid too. Never not had holes in the lid.
