I've been feeding my sub-adult avic about every 2-3 days and he generally attacks and eats immediately. Today he let the cricket wander around his web for a few minutes, then got pissed and smacked the cricket a bunch and knocked it out of his web. The cricket was plenty alive (probably felt more alive than ever before after that NDE) so I put him back in with his fellows to fatten up some more.
And thus, I am suspecting a molt. I am still pretty newbish. I have never actually seen this or any T molt. I know the basic drill, but what I wonder is if Avic avics normally molt up high in their web tunnels/hammocks or if he will likely come down to the substrate to molt.
What has been the experience of other Avic avic keepers?
