ATTN. paper shredder owners who have dogs

Remember to keep your paper shredder turned off when your not using it and don't put food wrappers or or food in the shredder basket as I have read on another forum about dogs who go sniffing around in the shredder to get a wrapper and get their tongue stuck in the shredder and is torn out! It is sad as the dogs do not live long after the incident as they can not eat or drink well or keep cool.

I know this is an old post but it’s VERY TRUE. My mom’s coworker’s puppy lost her tongue a couple months ago. Apparently she was licking the shredder for no apparent reason. It’s a terribly sad story
