If only we could get the sensationalism ridden tabloid-esque news in the US to emulate the BBC a little as in that article. Relevant pertinent scientifically oriented links.

IE: DEADLY SPIDER FOUND IN BANANAS v HITCHHIKING SPIDER FOUND IN BANANAS. Since most bananas come from the central America regions it was unlikely to be the one of the highly venomous Ctenids found in Brazil.
