So I'm walking out to my car this morning and there are two of these bugs sitting on my car, presumably drinking up the accumulated dew. I tried to catch the big one first but it flew away before I could get close enough. I got this little guy though. I think it's an Assassin Bug (beetle?), can anyone confirm? I'm not very knowledgeable about these guys.

I know the pic is bad but that's all I could get with my phones crappy camera. It's been massaged a bit with Photoshop to try to show some detail and body contour. Not shown in the picture is a long probiscus about 1/2 body length. The body length of the specimen is approximately 1" or just a hair under.

Care looks pretty straightforward but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ah yes, so it is. From clicking around a bit from the link you provided I see it looks quite a bit like Leptoglossus oppositus. Oh well. It's an interesting bug anyway but I guess it won't be eting any dubia's anytime soon.

Thanks for your reply.
