Pretty interesting article. This made me curious about Ts. Do you think they can hear in this way also?
Tarantulas are in the "Primitive Spiders" or "Mygalomorphae" group (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mygalomorphae).
I doubt they are as "advanced" as jumpers, which have been proven to be pretty unique in comparison to other spiders. Heck I have even heard people who despise spiders say that jumpers seem to be an exception and can ALMOST be considered kind of cute.

Yes I wondered about that, as I've read on here that tarantulas are more primitive than true spiders. It's interesting research anyway. Thanks for your input and for the link, I'll check it out!

Interesting article. Yeah I agree with @darkness975 they probably don't have anything near what jumpers do. Jumping spiders have some absolutely fascinating abilities as far as hunting strategies, memory capacity, etc.

Yeah you can say that without further <-- I love how that word sounds in Italian, btw -- doubts. Actually the reason why my baby  the Goddess, the other day was out in the open, was due to this:

She was out for listen well what I've dedicated to Her. In the burrow acoustics isn't the best :)
