Very cool species I just acquired! Would love to see everyone's setups! Been attracted to the Centruroides genius and I'm venturing into them more. My humidity is in the low 50s and the temps are around the upper 70s low 80s. I'm getting mixed signals from places and just would like to do it right. I hear they are more on the moist side but what's to moist? Spray the walls and now substrate? Only sand or sand soil and peat? Be interested to know as much as I can! Thanks in advance! 20230718_181315.jpg

Just worried I might be missing something so I'd like to know! 20230718_181315.jpg 20230716_225724.jpg

They're arboreal so they need a vertical setup.

I plan to upgrade the enclouse sooner or later I'm kinda just watching it over for now to see how this one's health is. Would like to see a molt but I've had a cricket in there for a couple days and it hasn't taken it. I see places they like damp areas and some where they like dryer areas. Just Would like a better answer cause looking around it's kinda jumbled. Would love to see a molt happen. My Nigrimanus is right next to it with slightly higher humidity and it molted twice and eats very well for me.

You won't see a successful molt without an arboreal setup. They need it to properly complete the process.

Yes, they need a vertical surface as they use gravity to pull them out of their molt. This goes for all species of bark scorpions. A piece of cork bark resting at an angle against the acrylic will do the trick.
It seems like the one in your picture is an adult though, so you're probably not going to see a molt.
I've never kept C. sculpturatus before, but I would keep it the same as nigrimanus. Fairly dry and hot, with a damp corner.

Thank you very much! I have them relatively the same. I have a small water dish that keeps the humidity up a tad. Kinda bummed it's an adult I thought they would get a tad bigger. I just wonder how long this one has.
