So, I noticed what I assume are fruit fly larvae in with my Dubia roaches. That's my best guess as all of them are nymphs. I gave no adults. So...the question above.
Don't worry, fruit flies aren't parasitic. If you are using fruit to feed the roaches then they are probably after that , if you aren't, they may be something else
Fruit fly larvae aren't parasitic, but phorid fly larvae (which look similar but are generally carrion eaters) can kill animals that are already injured or otherwise compromised. I lost a juvenile P. irminia to phorid flies after it lost a couple of legs in a molt.
