Hey bro! How have you been? Yeah, I'm out of Facebook, it was too toxic for me. Lol.

It's A. taunayi, indeed, adult female. But she ain't mine, she's from a friend. I have an immature male. ;)

I was thinking on using this thread to post pictures of the animals I have/had.

But before I do it, I have a doubt, can post another arachnids and others inverts here? What about vertebrates?

Hope an admin see this and clarify this to me.

Please include the species. You have a lot of more obscure ones and it would be nice to know the species names. Great photos, as usual. :)

Thanks, Vanessa.

I'll make an A to Z species then, includings other arachnids and vertebrates too.

I'll add the species names on it. :)

How frequently do you plan to be posting things that aren't tarantulas? If it's just an occasional picture, here is fine, but if it's a lot, you may want to consider making dedicated threads.

For spiders that aren't tarantulas, we recommend True Spiders & Other Arachnids.

For other inverts like scorpions or myriapods, it should be OK to start a thread on the relevant board.

Ditto for vertebrates.

Using the galleries or your member album is another option.

One day we should probably make a dedicated pictures board for non-tarantulas to consolidate these things.

@Ungoliant sorry man, I still dont know exactly who are the admins, but I'll get it within time.

About this thread, since my idea is to make and A to Z, there will be few threads that arent tarantulas. Is it ok?

Man thats impressive collection and great thread. :wideyed:
I appreciate that You use full names (including author and year, as it should be), just small note, in zoology brackets have their meaning and rules of use.
In case of taxa higher than species (e.g. genus, family, ...), author and year are never in brackets. e.g.:
Stromatopelminae Schmidt, 1993
Stromatopelma Karsch, 1881
In case of species (or subspecies), brackets are used only in case that taxon was originally described within different genus than is its current classification. e.g.:

Acanthoscurria chacoana Brèthes, 1909 - described as it is, no brackets
Acanthoscurria musculosa Simon, 1892 - again, described as it is, no brackets
but:

Acanthoscurria geniculata (C.L. Koch, 1841) - described as Mygale geniculata, we use brackets to indicate change of original combination
Acanthoscurria proxima (Mello-Leitão, 1923) - described as Hemiercus proximus, brackets used to indicate genus change
only classification changes are to be indicated, e.g.:
Brachypelma albopilosum Valerio, 1980 - described as Brachypelma albopilosa, spelling changed but we do not use brackets
Sorry for this little lesson, good luck and continue Your great work. :)
