Aphonopelma chalcodes coloration

Just got a 3" female Aphonopelma chalcodes yesterday that still has her juvenile colors. How many more molts until she starts getting her blondish coloration? Right now she looks like a little brown tarantula.

Mine is 3.75 inches and shows it, so you probably don't have that much more to go.

Beautiful! They take forever to molt, right?

They get their coloration around 3.5-3.75 inches from what I've seen and yeah they're VERY slow growers like all Aphonopelma.

Yeah one molt a year give or take, depends on how long they want to fast in a given year.

Oh yeah they're long lived even the males live quite a while because they grow so slowly, they are a great species though.
