Hi,

There is a certain possibility that I will be moving to denmark in say, the next 12 - 18 months, and stay there for a two or more years. (There's a masters program at Aarhus University that I'm really keen on.)

I was wondering if there are any Danish arachnophiles on here that could tell me what the regulations are regarding venemous pets. I have scorpions, tarantulas, and am thinking of diversifying into centipedes too (I currently have only one WC canadian specimen.) I'm posting this in the scorpions forum, since I'm thinking hot buthids such as androctonus or leiurus would be the most problematic from the legal standpoint.

Anyways the short version of my question: does anyone know about the legal status of venomous invertebrates in Denmark??? :?

thanks! :D

The regulations are pretty strict nowadays.
You cant keep certain arachnids such as buthids, aussie funnel webs and some Phoneutria species aswell some centipedes. No regulations on tarantulas.
For more info I suggest you contact the danish invert society http://www.einet.dk/
