Just bought this enclosure because i want to purchase my first pokie. Does anyone have any of these? If so how well do they work? Dimensions are 8"w 8"d and 16"h.
The large aboreal cage from Taratulacages.com with the same dimensions is $65 which isn't bad but then you have to tack on shipping. Though i'm sure the cages from tarantulacages.com are better quality.I just don't like that the top on those is a full screen. You won't be able to hold humidity as well in it. I think it is the same price as the tarantulahomes medium one with close to those dimensions.
Easy solution tape it from the inside...I just don't like that the top on those is a full screen. You won't be able to hold humidity as well in it. I think it is the same price as the tarantulahomes medium one with close to those dimensions.
I would make them myself but i don't much the time. 6 day work weeks suck. I'll let you know the quality when i get it. I should get it either tomorrow or monday.Just a couple of things that ran through my mind:
will it yellow over time
will it haze over time
wish the door were larger
Cheaper to get a local 10 gallon tank and make a door yourself???
Cheaper to make them yourself out of acrylic if your handy.
If it were say $25.00 a piece, then I would buy some myself.
Let us know the quality of these when you get them.
Well i'm just getting into aboreals (after 8 years in the hobby) other than a.avic. So I can buy these as i go. Its hard to find a nice cheap cage these days. I'm getting tired of buying 10gal. at the pet store. They are heavy and take up too much room.I would need about 50 of them in various models. But.........I would be so broke...............at the end.
