Hi,
So, I bought a LP a few weeks ago . She is eating a lot, and looks like She is pretty well, but there is a strange mark? On her abdomen. Is it just some color variation, or something to concern about?

It looks like a bald spot. New world tarantulas (like your Lp) will flick urticating hairs off their abdomens to ward off potential predators. They will also do so when stressed and will even do so in a new enclosure to embed a defensive layer of barbs in their webs or substrate. As they kick off hairs, they develop bald spots like that. Unlike human hair, it will not gradually grow back. Instead, it will remain like that until her next molt - at which point she will have a rich, plush pelt (at least until she kicks herself bald again). It's nothing to worry about. As she gets closer to molting, you may notice that her abdomen - particularly the bald patches - will darken noticeably.

Stirmi hairs are among the most horrible, from what I hear. She’s gotten me a few times and it stinks.

I wonder if she’d let me shave her...

You could color it in with a sharpie.

Do not actually color on your tarantula with sharpie, I just wanna make that clear.

I actually hope she’s beginning premolt. She typically devours her prey but she refused her meal last night and again just now.

She bats at the cricket to get it away, but doesn’t actually strike and doesn’t pursue.
