I've been posting a lot recently, so I thought I should prove that I actually keep tarantulas.

Thanks everyone.

More focus stacking:







It's a tedious process, especially when the spider moves before you manage to get the necessary shots, but definitely worth it when the depth of field is tiny.

I'm most satisfied with the P. pederseni in the previous post as far as giving it a full focus out of 16 narrow DOF images.

Hey ! What programme are you using to do the focus stacking ? Played around with Helicon but it's still got a lot of bugs in the programme :(

Photoshop CS4. Stack layers, auto-align, auto-blend. Easier to use than Helicon Focus.

One I forgot. The above tarsal claws are hers. Best looking tarsi of any spider I have, really.
