I remember reading somewhere about "Chromatopelma sp." Is it real?
Any word about it?

The spider you are likely referring to is Thrixopelma cyaneolum.

Eric,

Talk to Mark and check out the "Chromatopelma" that he recently got...a few of them came over here from Europe...and while they have the same "look" and morphological features of cyaneopubescens, they're a different color form. Could just be natural variation...but could be very interesting. They have the same "sheen" but instead of aqua-blue they are more bronze/blue (but not really that much blue at all).

Very interesting looking!

Hello Chris!
Any photos to look at it??
So far any possible talked Chromatopelma sp "anykind", having interested in this species much, were appeared no anything close to genus Chromatopelma at all.
As for the coloration - we all knew well that the shades of colors are highly depends on environmental conditions... darker-lighter - this is nothing regarding "color forms", different coloration - is another issue to talk.

Mikhail,

hey, I don't have any pics right now...but it wouldn't be too hard to get. I'll try to get some soon and post them.

They came from Europe...but I don't know if they were WC or not.
