Just curious but is Anisomorpha buprestoides worth keeping? I found an adult pair in my garage. I've never tried to keep them due to the spraying but I've always thought they were neat.

Do the babies process the smell like the adults?

Thanks,

W. Smith

Its "worth" is all up to you! They are cool lil buggers and they can be kept in captivity. Get nymphs and I am sure you can sell them as the native stick insect trade is a resource waiting to be tapped, since the exotics are not allowed. Get the book by Orin and Peter "Ghost of the Trees", (from www.ElytraAndAntenna.com) it covers all the captive care info you will need.
Let us know if you decide to keep them!

Depends on the individual, but for me - heck yeah! In fact, if you decide that you don't want those, or you find several other pairs - contact me and we can work out a purchase or a trade. I keep about 17 species of roaches, several species of T's (all slings), 2 local mantid species, and I buy water crystals in bulk for trading/selling.

BTW - cool find!
