No, I got the book as a gift at the end of the 90s. It's rubbish! "Vogelspinnen" by P. Klaas is a much better alternative!

The pictures alone are worth € 4, it's good enough to browse - you just can't believe everything that's in there. My edition of "Vogelspinnen" is from 2003 and I don't miss anything. Some names have changed, otherwise this almost 20 year old work is already very extensive. But what you really don't need is "Vogelspinnen und Skorpione" by Rankin and Walls, that's real crap with a lot of misinformation.Thanks for the info. I just bought it anyway
I still have Peter's "Vogelspinnen im Terrarium" (1989) in my bookshelf. Also a great historical document. Not a book by which I would do my husbandry, of course. I get my information here and on vogelspinnenforum.CH.
Do you happen to know if there are significant differences between the 2007 and 2013 edition of Peter's "Vogelspinnen"? The 2013 edition is sold out at the moment.
