an id please

im leaning towards a crab species, but wondered what ya'll think. cool looking either way

he was a tiny thing, roughly 5/16" LS. he was on a dog wood tree sapling trunk that was about the size of a pencil, maybe just a hair thicker.

I'm leaning towards Tmarus sp. Maybe T. angulatus.

P.S Tmarus spp. are crab spiders.

Eye structure is definately thomisidae, i'm going with Jonathan .

yeah, his camo worked perfectly. my face was no more than 2 feet away from the dogwood for at least 10-15 min & i never saw him until my hand got too close & he bolted to the opposite side. other than that he was motionless. only way i got him to raise his legs was by almost touching him with the camera.
