am i using the wrong kind of substrate?

my striped leg coated where it likes to sit with silk. is that a bad sign that maybe i should be using something else? or is that just normal behavior?

i'm using 50% potting soil 50% peat moss, i thought that would be good from what i read from all the care guides....

Sounds fine to me
I use the same substrate and all of my T's have covered it
with web.
Every once and a while my G. rosea removes the webbing
inside her hide. I guess she's cleaning the house. She scoots
all of it out into the corner and starts a new floor of web.
