Am i stupid?

So i had a choice between a cobalt blue and a mexican flame knee tarantula.
Both about the same size maybe 3 or 4 inches in size? and both females.
cobalt blue was $69 and flame knee was $100. And i bought the flame knee tarantula. and im a little new to tarantulas cuz all i ever owned was a costa rican zebra tarantula.
Am i stupid for getting the flame knee or was it a smart choice?

Well, seeing as how the auratum is one of the best looking Brachys out there and is on my list of wants, IMO you made a damn good choice

I have an auratum and they are a lovely little species. Oh while we're on the topic of Bracys.. Bracys are awesome no matter what species lol.

What a loaded question...

Getting the new world spider was the better choice over the old world spider, considering your experience is quite limited. Just watch out for the urticating hairs.

In my opinion, you did just fine.

Selecting the B. Auratum was a good choice. But I think, the best one should be to get both. Lol... At least you will have a new world and old world Ts right away.

i'd say you made the right choice! brachys are great and youl'll see them more often than the coblat blue..but i'd suggest you'd get them both!!
