am i overstokcing my fish tank?

i have 10 gallon tank with 6 danios two dwarf gouramis and an otto catfish does anyone with some aquarium knowledge knows if thats to many fish?

The general rule is one inch of fish per gallon of water, unless you've got some high-waste species in there. I don't know enough about fish to say whether or not you do, and of course that's assuming you have an excellent filter and know your water chemistry.

Odds are very, very good you're overstocked, and really should have planned this out BEFORE you put them in there.

It doesn't sound THAT bad, I've seen a lot worse. But for sure I wouldn't add any more.

So long as you have adequate filtration for the tank, do the bi-monthly/monthly water changes, and don't overfeed you should be okay, imho.

i think i might be an inch or two over.. but if i stay ontop of water changes etc i;m thinkng i could pull it off.

I bought two gouramis today because they were buy one get one free they would of made me pay full price for just one since thats all i wanted in the first place.

The load you have is perfectly fine in a ten gallon tank. None of those fish get large enough to be a problem. Just do not overfeed and you will good.
